Gucci Bloom: floral and poetic advertising of perfume 2018

The Gucci Bloom fragrance’s film advertisement plunges us into a particularly poetic and feminine world, aided by Portishead’s delicate “The Rip” pub music. The atmosphere is tender, poetic and rustic and even somewhat aquatic. Three girls (Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef and Petra Collins) living like hippies take us to a universe full of flowers that are absolutely inviting everywhere, including in their living room or on their elegant dresses. The advertising directed by Glen Luchford ends with the vision of the three young women bathing in clear water, again covered by innumerable flowers.

I wanted a rich white floral scent, a brave perfume that transports you into a vast garden filled with flowers and plants, a bunch of plenty. The garden is as beautiful as women; colorful, wild, diverse, where there is everything.

ALESSANDRO MICHELE, CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF GUCCI ITALIAN HOUSE

What is the music of the pub?

The music of this Gucci Bloom advertisement is the title “The Rip” from the English group Portishead trip-hop group . He released on June 9, 2008 as the second single from their third studio album, Third .

The singer Beth Gibbons sings this chorus with her tender voice that goes perfectly with the poetic Gucci Bloom pub:

Wild, white horses
They will take me away
And the tenderness I feel
Will send the dark underneath
Will I follow?
