Who doesn’t love a good nightcap? Many people even drink a glass of wine or dessert alcohol to wind down and relax after a busy day. However, alcohol is unhealthy in more ways than one.  Not only does it have empty calories, but it also negatively affects your sleep cycle. Although you may feel relaxed after a few boozy sips, alcohol actually blocks REM sleep, can aggravate breathing problems, and leads to extra bathroom trips

3. French Fries

EEK! I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with french fries! While french fries are yummy, this American staple is high in fat and will disrupt your sleep. It can be difficult to stay away from fried foods when you’re out to dinner, but SkinnyMs.

4. Spicy Food

Spicy food is so good, but it can definitely disrupt your sleep!
